Margaret had kept up with the blog I wrote on our last US trip in 2013 and, as she was off to the US too, she wanted to learn how to write a blog. She visited me regularly with her laptop and her (paper) notebook to learn everything she needed to know to write the blog overseas. Eventually she flew off on her holiday and not only wrote a great blog but when she got home she turned the blog into a book.
But Margaret's greatest claim to fame as far as the future of this blog is concerned is that she told me she wanted to write up her posts ahead of time. Good idea. I showed her how to do drafts. But she wanted more. She wanted them to post themselves and ...

Margaret used this to great effect as she went on a bus tour and a cruise, with sometimes intermittent internet access. Regardless of whether or not she could get online the blog just kept posting away, telling everybody what Margaret would be doing on each day of her bus tour or cruise. When she did get online she added her photos and her commentary to the existing post.
Not only can you expect the same from me for (at least) the river cruise, this post itself has been written on Sunday 22 February and has been scheduled to appear on Friday 27 February.
Let's see how that goes.
