G & J away from home

Of course there was no doubt that I would have to pack sometime and with only a day left it was clear even to me when the packing was going to have to happen.

So: Today was packing day!

First Step: The Packing Pile

Actually the cat sitters arrived from Auckland before I got past the 'packing pile' stage.  (To be honest, we'd even had tea before I started to bag things up.)

But with my packing list and my awesome pile of packing cells I did whip through the job quite quickly.

Cabin bag at the back, main bag at the front

Cabin bag came to 6.9kg (out of an allowed 7kg) and main bag came to 9.9kg (out of 23kg).  So now I am having those thoughts: Perhaps I can squeeze another top and pair of shoes in there ...

Perhaps you can ma'am, but should you?

(Here's a link to my favourite travel site - One Bag.  I'm sure I don't need to explain the purpose of the site but I have to say that though I'm not sure I'll ever make it to the 'one bag' ideal it's great to have packing goals.)
