Cold Ayr

Sunday, 31 May

Woke up to find that the cold wind had got colder - and stronger but that didn't deter us from visiting with Bob and Rowena and crew again.  It was a bit strange sitting and talking with them as it felt a bit like we were back home, which, of course, we aren't.

Bob, Hannah, and Morris
We went out for a walk in nearby Rozelle Park which boasts a number of huge open spaces as well as smaller areas, all with lovely old trees.  Morris (and the other dogs) found it a fabulous place to run about in while we wandered around (twice, as it happens).

Large spaces at the park
Morris really needed better ball-throwers than us as he didn't seem to get tired out from all the walking and (in his case) running around.

Here's a photo of one of the trees in the park but now I look at it the scale has been lost a bit.  It was gigantic and the open spaces are dotted about with these magnificent trees.

Old trees
As well as old trees there is a Gruffalo!  This was an end-point to our wandering and after a few photos we headed back toward the car.

The Gruffalo
The wind was still very strong and cold, as can be seen by the photo of Gary enjoying the day.

Sadly we had to say goodbye to everybody (including Lisa who had replaced Ellie today).  They're really missed form the Court at home.

Back at the motel we went to the nearest restaurant for tea - not much chance of wandering further afield as the wind just would not ease.  Pasta and tiramisu for tea!

Out for tea
