G & J away from home

Off this morning toward the east coast and family history friends Carol and Paul in Frostenden near Southwold.

The weather was wet but it was snug inside and we had a lovely visit and afternoon tea before setting out for our motel in Lowestoft.

The Travelodges are all decorated alike but here's a photo of the one in Lowestoft:

The rooms could do with a jolly good redesigning, though, as the desk is on the wall opposite the foot of the bed and when two people are in the room and one is at the desk that's a bit of a bottle neck. Meanwhile the whole rest of the room is empty or, if you're lucky, empty but for a second chair.
